Confirm Your Schedules
When your employer books you for a shift or whenever changes are made to your schedule, Workstaff sends you a notification to request a confirmation of your work schedule.
Is is important to respond to confirmation requests quickly. This will let your employer know you're aware and committed, but it will also give them time to react should your availability change.
- In the Today tab, scroll down to Things To Do
- Tap on Confirm a future work schedule
- Confirm or Decline the shift
- Send the confirmation to your manager.
How confirmation timing works
Depending on when you are booked, you usually have between 6 hours and 48 hours to confirm.
In most cases, the confirmation request expires about 2 days after you are booked.
If you are booked closer to the shift, you will still get at least a few hours to respond.
Workstaff also avoids setting a confirmation deadline in the middle of the night. If needed, the deadline is moved to the next morning, or to 2 hours before the shift for very early shifts.
If you do not confirm in time, your request will expire and you will get a reminder push notification.
Agenda color reference for shifts
In your agenda, shift cards and date dots use colors to help you quickly identify each shift status.
| Shift status in the app | Color shown |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Blue |
| Cancellation requested | Red |
| Late | Orange |
| Ongoing | Green |
| Please confirm | Pink |
| Please reconfirm | Pink |
| Completed | Gray |
| Scheduled and other statuses | Light Gray |
What If I Change My Mind?
If you confirm a shift but for any reason can't make it and need to cancel, get in touch with your manager directly as soon as possible. Not showing up for a shift your previously confirmed will undeniably damage your reputation and might have a very negative impact on your relation with your employer.
